This is my mantra for 2011! I’ve received quite a few e-newsletters and worksheets focused on creating your word for 2011. Why Wouldn’t You came instantly to me. It is a favorite expression of my brother’s. And let me tell you, my brother lives an amazing full throttle life. So, why wouldn’t I make this my mantra? It is irresistible to me plus I adore the lighthearted energy of it.
My motto for 2010 was Flourish with Gusto. At the beginning of 2010, I created a dream box which is a fun way to create a visual reminder and container for your desires. As I read through my intentions for 2010, I see that many did come true while others are still in process. There were also some surprises.
My dear friend, Gretchen, surprised me with a visit from Italy. I got to see three of my closest friends on trips to Northern California and Santa Fe. What could be more soul nourishing than visits with friends who have known you and loved you for 30 years?
I took three transformative workshops including a dancing and writing workshop, a breathtaking 5Rhythms workshop and a breakthrough painting experience. It felt really good and inspiring to replenish my own creative well.
My husband and I took a spectacular trip to Alaska with two other couples. We adore the teachings of Abraham-Hicks so we had a blast on their Alaskan cruise. We visited my brother in Seattle, and he took us cruising around the magnificent San Juan Islands.
Towards the end of 2010, Expressive Hart began doing some quality re-calibrating — consciously taking some to regroup so that the next era of Expressive Hart goes significantly beyond where it has been before. To further this trajectory, I’ve over the moon with my decision to be part of a luxury mastermind in 2011!
I know 2011 is going to be a stellar year for Expressive Hart. Coming right up is an online book circle on The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp and around the corner is a Costa Rica retreat!
Next fall, I’m going to make a sojourn to the south of France for a week-long painting workshop with Jill Steenhuis. Would you like to join me?
I’d love to hear what your mantra or word is for 2011. Let’s make 2011 the best year EVER! Why wouldn’t we?

Thanks Silky, your mantra really gets things going. I’m going to borrow it and use it a lot in 2011.
My mantra is “promote, play, prosper.” These are the magic words that will grow my business and my new ukulele band I’m in. Another word I should add to my list is peregrinate. It’s something I really like to do as much as I can, often in public.
Have a happy 2011! Why wouldn’t you?
Thanks, Tom. I looked up “peregrinate” — wandering around from place to place sounds like fun.
I love your mantra — “promote, play, prosper.”
And, I forgot to mention that I plan on becoming a much better ukulele lady in 2011! Why wouldn’t I?

It feels like your energy is building up (when I think of it, I’m picturing a crystal dwelling, with depth and many facets, sparkling in the sun, surrounded by happy green trees dancing their branches around in a mellow, luminous blue sky)! I love to see this!
I can’t wait to see what unfolds for you, next!
Dear Christine!
Thank you so much dear one. I can´t wait to see what sparkling creative magic unfolds for YOU
Love, Silky
