Goddess Magic with Goddess Leonie

I’m over the moon to have a Q & A with Leonie Dawson! Whenever I need some soothing sparkles of magic, I go right to her Goddess Circle which is an online sacred space offering all kinds of wondrous ecourses, meditations and workbooks for your creative soul.

Tell us a little bit about how the Goddess Circle came to be?

I totally believe that when women circle, magic happens.

When I was 21, I was invited to my first women’s circle. And as I stepped foot into that sacred space, aglow with women who really shone – that was when I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.

The teachings of womens circles made my life better. It made it sing. It made me whole, and it made me the woman I am.

And being the online goddess I am, I decided to take it online as well.

I wanted women wherever they were to be able to access a tribe of goddess sisters. To have their own sanctuary and find their magnificent wise woman inside too.

In your opinion, what do you think holds people back the most from living their creative dream?

That they don’t know just yet that it’s possible. They can do it. And it’s gloriously, ridiculously happy doing it.

It doesn’t have to suck. It can be magical and magnificent and fun.

As a successful entrepreneur, what is the shiniest pearl of wisdom you’d like offer to other creative entrepreneurs?

All you need to do is BUILD YOUR BUSINESS MUSCLES.

I spent years – yeeeeeeears joyfully building my creative and spiritual muscles. I just loved doing it, so exercising them was fun!

And a few years ago I got so frustrated that my business was much more of a hobby than a real income-producing business. You know, one that I could actually quit my day job for!!!

And I realised I needed to actually build my business muscles to support my other muscles. I needed to create a vessel that was strong enough to hold my dreams and set them out to sea.

So that’s what I did. I read business and finance books and blogs and websites. I started hanging out with other business goddesses. I brainstormed with them on how to grow our businesses and do marketing in a way that was joyful to us.

Three years later, my business is truly a business – it’s gorgeous and profitable and abundant. And STILL so much fun and the thing I adore doing most in this world.

And it’s so glorious that both me and my love get to be at home with our baby goddess daughter.

Miracles upon miracles.

I’m so confident that no matter how big I wanted to grow my business, I could do it – all I need to do is build my business muscles some more.

Who or what has been your greatest source of inspiration?

Life. It’s pretty much the best thing ever.

Seeing the goddess in every woman.

The place where love, light and spirit intertwine: Family.

What has been a guiding principle for you in your creative process?

That it’s not about me.

It’s about letting through what wants to come through.

Making the space for miracles to come in.

Do you have a daily ritual?

Everyday, I wait for my baby girl to go to sleep.

Then I run across the street and scamper up a ginormous ancient fig tree.

It’s so big and magical up there – very Swiss Family Robinson.

And that’s where I sit for two hours a day.

Writing. Creating. Making art. Blogging.

Up a tree.

It’s the best office I’ve ever had.

I feel like the tree and the vines and the butterflies influence and infuse my work.

How do you shift from those moments of feeling creatively stuck to letting the creative juices flow?

I meditate.

How do you keep your sense of wonder alive?

Get outside.

The sky. The sea. The trees. The ground.

The best muse, love and healer I could ever ask for.

What is the next big dream, goal or project for you on the horizon?

I’m currently diving deep into creating the Become a Business Goddess kit. I’m pouring out all the business wisdom and experience and magic I know into a kit. I’m so utterly in love with this glorious business of mine and this life of mine… and I want to help as many goddesses I can create their own dreams-come-true business.

So… a few more weeks in my tree and it will be ready to set freeeeee into the world! Yipppeeeeeee!!!!
